The NCS Programme Co-ordinator is responsible for ensuring the day-to-day operational delivery of our National Citizen Service (NCS) programmes for young people. You will ensure that our team members have the tools and resources to fulfil their roles. You will ensure that all administrative duties are performed in an accurate and timely manner so that the day-to-day operation is not impacted. You will demonstrate high-quality work ethics and safe programme delivery, with the ability to respond quickly and effectively to critical incidents and emergencies. This role is perfect for motivated individuals with experience of working within a team environment and being a part of a project. 

Responsibilities
  • Provide effective coordination of the delivery and quality of the NCS programmes, building strong team working relationships which is well-bonded and clearly directed. 
  • Support the team ensuring that they have the resources to achieve their personal development plans and objectives. 
  • Indirectly support a range of support staff including Programme Leaders, Mentors, Learning & Behaviour Mentors, Personal Coaches and Support Workers. 
  • Support Programme Associate Managers in the management of their programmes, advising on, and where appropriate acting on, decisions on behavioural, safeguarding and staff management issues as directed. 
  • Ensure that all programmes are fully risk-assessed on an ongoing basis. 
  • Develop high-quality community partnerships with a range of local charities and social enterprises. 
  • Provide logistical direction and support as directed on areas including transport, venues, and residential accommodation, ensuring that these are delivered within budget. 
  • Provide out-of-hours on-call cover as part of a rota through delivery periods. 
Education /Qualification 
  • GCSE A-C or equivalent in Maths and English
Skills and Experience
  • Extensive experience of working with groups of young people (14-19) in residential, educational, or outdoor settings. 
  • Experience working with a variety of youth programmes 
  • Track record of dealing effectively with serious incidents and ensuring effective safeguarding under pressure. 
Project Management and Logistics 
  • Experience in supporting large-scale and complex projects on time including working to budget constraints. 
Interpersonal 
  • Proven track record supporting and working in large teams of people in challenging environments (e.g. residential youth programmes or outdoor education). 
  • Experience in coaching and developing effective teams in a fast-paced and demanding environment. 
Community Engagement & Relationship Management 
  • Proven track record of successfully working with diverse community groups. 
  • Experience working in community engagement and advocating change in society. 
  • Establishing and maintaining effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders. 
Qualifications and Experience 
  • A strong academic record or equivalent relevant experience. 
Character 
  • Strikingly positive attitude, integrity, and resilience. 
  • A flexible and responsive approach to work to meet emerging needs of the organisation. 
Additional Information
Salary: £25,282.40 per annum 
Location: Southwark Office 
Contract:  6 months Fixed Term Contract - Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30
