Programme development

  • Advising you on programme features for university placements for international and UK students
  • Outlining how services will be administered in concert with the university’s employability or careers team
  • Holding workshops with faculty stakeholders to agree on priorities, outcomes, and best practices
  • Creating links between universities, employers, and students
  • Building a reporting structure and other shared information protocols
  • Writing an industry-specific Guide for Programme Leaders

Personalised employability skills and training

  • Personalised one-to-one engagement, support, and advisory services

  • Workshops to help students write better CVs and cover letters, boost their interview skills, build digital profiles, and search for roles online
  • Training to help students come across as more professional with employers
  • Providing industry-specific employment guides, for example on professional email writing, post-interview reflection, and the STAR technique

  • Co-hosting employment events with the university 

Employer engagement 

  • Developing contacts with employers and building lasting relationships across different industrial sectors 
  • Source internships and placements with Twin employers and networks
  • Broker relationships with employers or recruiters providing suitable roles
  • Leverage the university’s existing network of employers, and grow connections that lead to placements
  • Provide extra assistance to international students needing permission to work and advocacy with employers
  • Publish placement roles to the general cohort or individual students
  • Create marketing materials highlighting how placements benefit students, employers, and the university

Placement administration and marketing

  • Supporting student placements once these are in the process 
  • Manage the placement process, including all documentation between student, employer, and university
  • Clarify and communicate student and employer responsibilities regarding the placement
  • Create case studies and student profiles to boost the university’s marketing material 

Placement monitoring

  • Monitor and report on placements already in progress 
  • Overseeing placed students to ensure academic or visa compliance, to match the university’s instructions
  • Regular monitored calls or reports with students to log their progress
  • Guiding students and employers should issues arise
  • Regular employer visits and inspections

Our community hub in London, Greenwich, offers a campus setting where international students benefit from the extra services and support an international language school can provide, as they adapt to living in the UK. The Twin community hub offers a professional environment with meeting space for collaboration and hot desking.
