Job Description

We are recruiting experienced trainers to deliver regulated and non-regulated qualifications/ training to our AEB government funded learners or other provisions where necessary in London and/or remote delivery across the UK. The role requires and organised professional with the ability to adapt to new environments, needs to be resourceful and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare learners for appropriate and effective learning by mapping out their Individual Learning Plan (ILP) according to their previous skills, knowledge and behaviours as well as providing additional support needs identified on their ILP.
  • Prepare lessons efficiently in order to conduct them competently.
  • Support the creation of qualification assessment materials to enable interactive and engaging delivery.
  • Create schemes of work and lesson plans in accordance with the qualification specifications and curriculum plan.
  • Prepare educational material to assist with stretch and challenging the learning.
  • Deliver accredited and non-accredited qualifications according to the delivery schedule.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Occupational Competence in one or two of the following subject areas;
    • Information, Advice & Guidance,
    • Business Administration,
    • Customer Service,
    • Warehouse and Logistics,
    • Hospitality,
    • Essential Digital Skills
    • Health and Social.
  • Experience in delivering to post 16 provisions
  • Experience in delivering Employability and L1 to L2 vocational qualifications
  • Experience of embedding British Values, PREVENT and safeguarding to lessons

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Awarding Organisations; Edexcel, NCFE, Ascentis
  • Experience of Ofsted Inspections
  • Experience of the welfare to work sector
  • Experience of working within a business context
  • Experience in using an e-portfolio system such as OneFile

Education/Qualifications

  • Assessing qualification, TAQA, A1, or equivalent
  • PTTLS, DTTLS or equivalent
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics and English or equivalent

Salary: £24,000 - £28,000 per annum (depending on experience)

Location: London based with remote working until restrictions are lifted and a requirement to deliver blended learning to all our government funded provisions at various sites

Hours: 42.5 hrs Full time Monday- Friday
