A 1+1 Masters programme is a 2-year masters that includes 1 year of taught modules, and 1 year of placement in industry as part of their overall Masters Degree.
Like a “sandwich year” for undergraduates, a Masters Industry Practice year is a 1-year placement that is undertaken in year 2 of the degree, after students have passed their taught modules. The placement year is an integrated and assessed part of the course with close monitoring and support from the University and Twin throughout.
The benefit to UK employers is that that Masters level students can be hired again directly after their placement according to their work permission.
“Through innovations by the University and Twin Group, a growing pool of highly skilled postgraduate students are being prepared for their next step towards employment.”
