Carefully Selected Study Modules

Our programme has been carefully designed as the first step into a global business career, via a University degree, with choices from a wide range of Universities.

Core modules

Our selected NCUK modules will enable you to be effective in your chosen degres from day one. These modules are specifically designed to equip you not only for careers in particular business disciplines, but also for senior roles requiring a comprehensive understanding of the external environment, the broader economy, and governmental influences:

1

The Business Studies module aims to prepare students for degrees in business and social sciences at NCUK universities. It covers the external business environment, its impact on business and strategic analysus, focusing on three core functions: Marketing, Accounting and Finance, and Human Resource Management

2

The Economics module aims to equip you with essential economic concepts and principles. It focuses on national and global economic environments, analytical skills, and the role of governments in market economies. The ability to explain both economic concepts and theories and apply them in real situations, then to analyse and evaluate benefits and disbenefits of market economies are key attributes of senior executives and entrepreneurs

3

The Global Studies module aims to help students understand key 21st-century events and issues, affecting business, economies and politics. It uses such events as a context for open-minded research, which is a key skill from many senior roles,  and a willingness to see them from different perspectives, giving both breadth and depth to enquiry and understandings of both impact and cause, preparing you for business  in an uncertain world.

Language Module

Proficiency in English is crucial for your success in English universities or English-taught programmes abroad. Twin, accredited by the British Council, has been teaching English to international students for over 25 years. But this module is not just about improving your English, it's about preparing you for University undergraduate study, which may be very different to your recent school or college study.

The English for Academic Purposes (EAP) module is for non-proficient English speakers. It aims to improve students' English language and academic skills, introducing you to the linguistic demands of undergraduate study, including independent reading, extended writing, and accessing academic texts.  This combination of English language and study skills will help to ensure you can participate fully and effectively in your studies when you start your degree.

Why choose Twin

Equipping students for careers, not just studies

We believe you should start building your academic and career “marketability” from the first week of your foundation. That’s why our unique “Build My Career” module begins immediately.

Every Wednesday afternoon, you are invited to participate in this purposeful, structured, yet stimulating and enjoyable module. It goes far beyond typical "employment support" programmes.

In workshops and seminars, through teaching, coaching, peer group learning, and personal endeavor, you learn to identify your personal goals and formulate career-starting and progression strategies. You research both market-wide and individual opportunities, conduct organizational research, and prepare customized CVs.  This is just as important to your choice of univerisity and Degree course as it is to your eventual career, because all of the choices can be influential on achieving your life goals.

Additionally, students engage in interview preparations and self-presentation rehearsals to ensure they can present their best selves to organisations of any kind, maximising your success in achieving the route to progression that you really want.

Visits to universities will also feature, allowong you to explore their academic, city and accommodation options and investigate some of your key choices for further education.  Company visits will help you to explore corporate cultures, the ways in which they work and the qualities they seek in their workforce; this can help you to understand the kinds of employers you might wish to work for.

A great place to live and learn

Twin is one of only 4 NCUK providers offering programmes in London, one of the world’s great cities.  It is the only one where students can:
