Job Description

Job Title:                            Safeguarding and PDBA Officer  

Reports to:                         Apprenticeship Performance Improvement Manager  

Location:               Home based with some national/international travel  

Salary: £28000 annually

 

Purpose 

To ensure all learners and participants understand how to keep themselves safe.  

To work collaboratively with all areas of the Group to ensure the appropriate Safeguarding strategy, systems, processes, and training are in place.  

To enhance the learner and participant experience by ensuring high-quality and effective Learner Support services and information, advice, and guidance (IAG), including careers, are available.  

The postholder will ensure that learners receive high quality care and additional support to ensure they develop to their full capacity. They will support developing staff and equip them with the necessary tools to enable them to support learners and participants to develop positive attitudes and behaviours; thereby giving them the greatest opportunity to learn and progress in their lives and work.  

The postholder will keep staff up to date with regular bulletins on updated policies.  They will keep up to date with all safeguarding and associated legislation and implement Safeguarding, Prevent and Protect policies and procedures within the Group.  

The postholder will also work with teaching/Coaching staff to ensure they can offer learners the support they need, to ensure personal development, behaviour and attitude (PDBA) is promoted and embedded effectively across all contracts and curriculum areas, supporting Twin to build high aspirations for progression amongst its learners and participants. 

The postholder will work closely with other leads in the business to ensure the intersectionality between policies is effectively recognised, with strategies implemented to ensure equal access and participation across all learner and participant groups.
