Head of Seasonal Academics

£33,000.00 - £35,000.00 per annum, Fixed-term (1/2/25-30/8/25) experience-dependent

As the Head of Seasonal Academics, you will oversee the academic program at Twin’s junior summer schools, which host international students aged 8-18 at various sites across the UK and Ireland.

You will be an experienced leader, passionate about education, and committed to delivering a high-quality academic experience that meets the diverse needs of international students.

You will be responsible for managing academic staff, ensuring the delivery of engaging and challenging lessons, and maintaining a focus on student welfare and development throughout the summer term. This role requires an individual with excellent leadership skills, a strong understanding of the educational needs of young learners, and the ability to create a supportive and inclusive learning environment.

This role can be office-based (Greenwich) or Hybrid, as desired. They’ll need to attend meetings in Greenwich (approx. one day a week), while in the summer months (June-Aug inclusive) they will be visiting the summer centres on a scheduled basis, as well as leading staff training, particularly in June and July.

Key Skills & Qualifications:
 
    • Proven experience in an educational leadership role, ideally in a summer school or international student setting.
    • Strong background in curriculum development and teaching methods across EFL.
    • Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire a team of educators.
    • Knowledge of UK and international education standards, including safeguarding and child protection policies.
    • DELTA Qualified (essential)
    • A degree in Education, TESOL, or a related field (or equivalent experience) (desirable)
    • Teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, TEFL/TESOL, or equivalent) (desirable)
