We offer a diverse number of life enhancing services to our clients and every member of our team is essential in achieving this. As an organisation we are recruiting for a new Staffing Associate. The Staffing Associate plays an integral role in attracting and selecting high-quality seasonal staff for our National Citizen Service (NCS) programmes.  They will support the delivery of the recruitment strategy through all stages of the process: from initial attraction of applicants, to screening and assessing candidates, planning and placing seasonal staff, overseeing compliance checks and supporting staff with any questions and queries.

This role will also involve administrative support across a range of HR work, ensuring that staff are compliant, and their files are up to date, and ensuring the organisation meets its statutory legal requirements (including the NCS Trust). 

In the summer (July and August) this role will be involved in the delivery of the programme ensuring that programme contracted places are hit, programmes are delivered safely and to a high standard.

This is a fast-paced role, that will suit a detailed oriented, people person, who is motivated by targets and working in a team.

This role will involve some evening and weekend working.

  Key Responsibilities 

  • Execute attraction strategy including developing relationships and delivering events at Universities, community organisations and public sector organisations to ensure high rates of applications from high quality staff
  • Run high quality staff assessments and interviews to ensure the best staff are selected to work on our programmes
  • Support staff members through compliance process (including references, right to work, DBS)
  • Ensure all staff are informed of, and are prepared for staff training (both face-to-face and online modules)
  • Allocation of seasonal staff onto programmes, ensuring they are placed in best possible location, and healthy reserve lists are maintained to mitigate dropouts.
  • Building rapport and supporting candidates through the recruitment process from expression of interest through to completing work on the programme. Ensuring attrition through these phases is kept below targeted amounts.
  • Support other projects within the team as and when required

NCS Summer Responsibilities (July/August)

  • Working with the wider team to ensure NCS places in your lot are full
  • Ensuring all Young People and Parents/Guardians are contacted prior to programme delivery and are fully prepared and excited to undertake the opportunity
  • Ensure Salesforce is always up to date for your programmes (and any activity, registers, logs, pre and post programme documentation) are up to date and clear
  • Management of seasonal staff on programme, through providing support with day-to-day issues, ensuring they feel supported and have everything they need to do succeed
  • Visit the centres on a regular basis to quality check delivery and provide feedback to seasonal staff.
  • Work with the central team to ensure programme logistics are arranged and communicated accordingly
  • Follow Twin policies and procedures to deliver a high quality, engaging, inclusive and safe programme
  • Ensure all safeguarding concerns are reported properly and followed up (with support from the DSL)
  • Any other reasonable/appropriate duties

Skills and Experience 

Essential

  • Comfortable using IT systems (this role will use Microsoft office/Teams, Google, Zoom and Salesforce)
  • A commitment to supporting young people and the principles of inclusion, equality and diversity and working to adapt plans to ensure all resources are inclusive

Additional Information 

Salary: £22,000 - £23,000 per annum 
Location: London 

Hours: 42.5 hrs Full time/ Monday- Friday
