We are seeking a highly skilled and qualified primary school teacher to fill the position of a Family Learning Tutor. The role will be supporting on our recently awarded Multiply contract working across the whole of West Sussex. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering training sessions and programmes to parents in schools to help them increase their maths skills. The Family Learning Tutor will develop and implement interactive and engaging programmes to help parents develop their maths skills and support their children's learning.

RESPONSIBILITIES
Engage with primary schools, local community groups, parent groups etc to set up 6-week programmes to deliver to parents/carers to increase confidence in maths skills.
Enrol all new referrals into the multiply contract, ensuring that eligibility criteria is met
Develop and implement a 12-hour programme, delivered over 6 weeks, that will be aimed at parents who have low-level numeracy skills and/or confidence in supporting their primary aged children with numeracy skills.
Provide support and guidance to parents in their child's learning
Develop resources and materials to support parents in their learning journey
Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of the programme
Provide progress reports to management on the programme's effectiveness
Work collaboratively with school staff to ensure the programme is fully integrated into the school curriculum and meets the needs of the parents and children
Keep up to date with the latest teaching methods and resources to ensure the programme remains relevant and effective
KNOWLEDGE / EXPERIENCE
Essential
- A qualified primary school teacher with a minimum of 3 years of teaching experience
- Knowledge of the primary school curriculum and teaching methods
EDUCATION / QUALIFICATIONS
Essential
QTS Primary or Secondary Education
Desired
Proven experience in delivering training and development programmes
Experience in engaging with schools to implement learning programmes.
Full driving license with own transport, or ability to use public transport network across West Sussex and rural areas.
