Job Description

The NCS Programme Administrator plays an integral role in making sure we receive every document needed from our seasonal staff to be ready to work on the National Citizen Service (NCS) programme.  They will support with administrative tasks through all stages of the process: from scheduling applicants on interviews/ group assessments to overseeing compliance checks and supporting staff with any questions and queries.

They will also provide administrative support across a range of HR work, ensuring that staff are compliant, and their files are up to date, and ensuring the organisation meets its statutory legal requirements (including the NCS Trust). 

Key Responsibilities

  • Support candidates with any questions and queries ensuring they are engaged throughout the recruitment process.
  • Ensure all staff assigned to the programme are fully compliant and appropriate checks including references, Right to Work in the UK, DBS/ Barred list, prohibited list and overseas Criminal Records where appropriate, have been conducted in a timely manner. Where the documents are not clear, follow the company procedure.
  • Complete trackers with 100% accuracy and ensure they are kept up to date.
  • Liaise with the HR to register new starts on payroll and support the Programme Manager with completing the salary calculation spreadsheet accurately to ensure staff are paid correctly.
  • Assist with staff induction preparation/ delivery and ensure signed checklists are received for every staff member.

  • Ability to deal with a diverse workload
  • Comfortable using IT systems (this role will use Microsoft office/Teams, Google, Zoom and Salesforce)

Desirable 

  • NCS Experience
  • Ability to work effectively within teams and or on own initiative.
  • An understanding of the education sector
  • Have a satisfactory enhanced DBS certificate

 

Additional Information 

Contract & Salary: £21,000 per annum (pro-rata), 6 months
Location: Greenwich, London 

Hours: 42.5 hrs Full time/ Monday- Friday
