Job Description

We are recruiting for an experienced and qualified Assessor to assess regulated qualifications to our government funded learners or other provisions where necessary across the UK. The role requires and organised professional with the ability to adapt to deadlines, needs to be resourceful and able to work in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support in the creation of qualification assessment materials to enable interactive and engaging delivery.
  • Carry out assessment on accredited and non-accredited qualifications according to the assessment schedule marking according to marking schemes and providing meaningful feedback to help support the learner as well as stretch and challenge
  • Keep track of and maintain records of progress throughout each course using provided systems including OneFile e-portfolio
  • Complete course and contract related administrative tasks to specified standards to enable funding to be claimed for each learner.
  • Complete remedial actions identified by the IV promptly to ensure learner achievement performance is included in the given month.

Skills and Experience 

Essential

  • Competence in assessing three or four of the following subject areas;
    • Information, Advice & Guidance,
    • Business Admin,
    • Warehouse and Logistics,
    • Hospitality,
    • Essential Digital Skills
    • Health and Social.
  • Experience in assessing to post 16 provisions
  • Experience in assessing Employability and L1 to L2 vocational qualifications
  • Experience of assessing embeded British Values, PREVENT and safeguarding

Desirable

  • Knowledge of Awarding Organisations; Edexcel, NCFE, Ascentis qualifications
  • Experience of the welfare to work sector
  • Experience of working within a business context
  • Experience of working with an e-portfolio system such as OneFile

Salary: £27,000 - £32,000 per annum 
Location: London

Hours: 42.5 hrs Full time/ Monday- Friday
