We are looking for a dynamic Centre Manager to lead the smooth and effective running of Twin English Centre Eastbourne, alongside planning for future growth opportunities. The successful candidate will be responsible for the efficient management of all local functions, including operations, academic, accommodation, building maintenance, catering, finance, welfare, and student management.

Our customers are at the heart of everything we do as a business, and as Centre Manager the key KPI is ensuring every student has a high-quality experience at Twin, leading to positive customer feedback and high satisfaction levels.

This role is available with ‘live in’ accommodation (to be discussed at interview stage).

Responsibilities

  • Management of all non-teaching staff
  • Working closely with the Director of Studies in the management of teachers
  • Supervision and management of all students throughout their programme
  • Designated Safeguarding Lead, ensuring compliance in all areas.
  • Working closely with group support teams, including sales, marketing, finance, IT, and human resources to drive the business forward with continuous improvement.
  • Manage the inspection process for all company regulatory bodies, including British Council and ISI, and ensure compliance in all regulatory areas.
  • Working with the landlord to ensure the local lease terms and conditions are being met.
  • Support new product development to expand the portfolio to new and existing customers.

 

Skills and Experience

Essential 

  • Experience in a similar role in the EFL, hotel, leisure, and/or education sectors  
  • Experience of working with young people and a sound knowledge of safeguarding
  • Demonstratable experience in leading large teams and budgets in a multi-faceted business
  • Proven experience of achieving key performance targets and having a keen customer focus
  • Excellent administrative and organisational skills with the ability to prioritise work, develop work plans, and meet deadlines.
  • A level-headed self-starter with the ability to work independently and as part of a wider team.
  • High levels of Excel skill, knowledge of the CLASS management system (or similar) and CRMS
  • Excellent attention to detail with a drive for accuracy
  • Pro-active, enthusiastic, and flexible  
  • Educated to degree level, preferably in leadership and management, or a solid record of relevant experience and achievement in a similar role.

Additional Information

Salary: £55,000.00 - £60,000.00 per annum depending on experience 

Location: Eastbourne

Contract:  Permanent - Full Time

Hours: Hours: 42.5 hours per week.  Additional hours are required during peak seasons.  Weekend and evening work required.   Managing the 24-hour emergency phone rota, as well as being on call required.
