Are you passionate about shaping the future of apprenticeships? We are seeking a dynamic Senior Operations Manager to lead our apprenticeship delivery team. In this pivotal role, you will drive excellence by collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure the highest standards are met.

What You’ll Do:
  • Develop and execute operational strategy for apprenticeship programmes
  • Lead the design and implementation of new apprenticeship standards
  • Implement robust quality assurance processes
  • Consistently monitor contract KPIs and the Accountability Framework to ensure outstanding performance, compliance and outcomes at all times  
  • Analyse data and feedback to drive improvements in program design and execution
  • Lead initiatives to enhance apprentice retention, satisfaction, and success rates
  • Ensure compliance with apprenticeship regulations, funding requirements, and organisational policies
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of apprenticeship programs, ensuring efficiency and effectiveness
  • Manage budgets, resource allocation, and program logistics to meet organisational objectives
  • Build and maintain strong relationships with apprentices, mentors, trainers, external partner and employers.
  • Manage and mentor a team of apprenticeship coaches, staff, coordinators, support staff.
Skills and Experience you will have:
  • At least 5 years of extensive experience in managing apprenticeship or workforce development programs.
  • Proven track record of operational leadership and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong project management and organisational skills.
  • Exceptional interpersonal and communication abilities.
  • Expertise in compliance and regulatory frameworks related to apprenticeships.
  • Analytical skills to interpret data and drive decision-making.
  • Proficiency in relevant software and learning management systems (LMS).

  • Bachelor’s degree in education /strategic leadership (Desirable).

Additional Information
Salary: £55,000 per annum depending on experience
Location: Hybrid with travel – Full driving licence and access to a car during working hours is essential.
Contract:  Permanent - Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30
