Job Description

To internally quality assurer all the accredited qualifications; identify improvements within the delivery across the government-funded contracts. To develop, implement and manage the internal assurance processes to comply with Twin’s and our Awarding Organisations’ regulations. To support with retaining Twin’s direct claim statuses of qualifications and assist with expanding our qualification catalogue.

The role of the IQA is to monitor and evaluate how assessors carry out their work in practice in order to highlight problems with individual assessment and the system in general.

The IQA will support the lead IQA with external agency visits. Will contribute to the self-assessment process to promote and implement quality improvements throughout the department for the QIP.

The IQA will provide a robust IQA process for teaching, learning and assessment.

The IQA will undertake internal verifier activities and will work effectively with other internal and external verifiers.

The IQA will support collecting feedback from learners on programmes monitor the quality of delivery within the programmes on offer and report changes in quality and compliance trends on the learner journey.

Responsibilities

  • Experience in internally verifying work products in a robust manner in line with awarding organisations' standards – Essential
  • Experience in Internal Verifying vocational qualifications – Essential
  • Knowledge of Awarding Organisations; Edexcel, NCFE, Ascentis qualifications – Desirable
  • Experience in the welfare-to-work sector – Desirable
  • Experience in embedding British Values, PREVENT and safeguarding lessons – Essential
  • Experience in creating programmes fit for delivery – Essential
  • Enthusiastic, energetic, outgoing and keen to make a decisive contribution to all the aspects of a course
  • Excellent communication, problem-solving and interpersonal skills
  • Approachable but able to maintain a professional relationship with learners
  • Ability to work on own initiative as well as part of a team
  • Flexibility and willingness to travel to different sites as stipulated by the training schedule for OTLA’s
  • Good time-management and organisational skills
  • Committed to continuous personal and organisational development and awareness of current developments.
  • Professional appearance in line with Twin’s policy
  • To complete paperwork in accordance with organisational, awarding body, funding and audit requirements.
  • To ensure own training and development, including CPD, is up to date and compliant with relevant professional bodies.
  • To support the ethos of Twin, its marketing and recruitment activities.
  • To maintain the highest professional standards in accordance with the policies of Twin.
  • Travel as required to meet the requirements of the position.
  • To carry out other duties as may reasonably be required.
  • To ensure the learner’s success for achievement is timely and in a month.
  • 100% of completed assessments are submitted and internally verified by the allocated deadline date each month.
  • To ensure no cause for concern is raised against any qualifications internally assured by the AO.

Education /Qualification 

  • IQA qualification – Essential
  • Assessing qualification, CAVA, TAQA, A1, or equivalent – Essential
  • Level 2 Functional Skills in Mathematics and English or equivalent – Essential
  • PTTLS, DTTLS or equivalent – Desirable

Additional Information

Salary: £30,000 per annum 

Location: Remote 

Contract:  Permanent - Full Time

Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30
