Job Description

Twin is an award-winning provider of education, travel, work experience, accommodation, and employment services. As an organisation we are recruiting for a new for an Internships Co-Ordinator to deliver the “Internships with Twin” Projects based in the Greater London Authority and Coast to Capital LEP Regions as well as our international student placement service and Turing Scheme Outbound programme.

In this role you will be required to take responsibility of the day-to-day relationship management of SMEs (Small to Medium enterprises) and our Interns who enrol onto the funded projects. This includes interviewing and on-boarding potential interns joining the range of projects we offer, to placing them into a suitable SME according to their needs and the SME’s needs. You will also use the relationships built with these companies to place our International student clientele that book our privately funded programmes. These candidates can also be placed into larger companies (not limited to SME’s).

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage intern and SME relationships to ensure full compliance and maximum programme impact
  • Interview interns that are enrolled onto the programme, and place them into relevant SME’s according to their needs
  • Work alongside the student engagement team, ensure that candidates they have enrolled are contacted in a timely manner and their placement requests are fulfilled
  • Canvas and cold-call new SME’s in the relevant regions to widen Twin’s internship placement offering
  • Contact existing Twin partners (we have a large network of partners on our CRM- Bullhorn) and identify their internship needs and connect relevant interns we have enrolled
  • Place privately-funded International candidates into internships. These can range from students in the UK on university student visas looking to do a summer internship, to students abroad looking to travel to the UK under the Tier 5 temporary work visa scheme
  • Ensure all placements meet the necessary compliance and paperwork requirements whilst working with the student engagement team which supports on this
  • Prepare interns to sit the qualification for onward progression to sustained employment
  • Support on Turing Scheme student engagement and recruitment
  • Link with Coast to Capital/GLA/ESF/DWP communications teams to profile success and to build a project legacy
  • Be responsible for managing the project against a suite of performance indicators, as well as ensuring full compliance with ESF regulation/ contractual compliances.
  • Ensure Health & Safety rules and regulations are met and company GDPR and Safeguarding policies are adhered to
  • Develop new business leads and marketing strategies for the project
  • Attend career fairs/exhibitions and recruitment driven events to generate more business contacts (when it is reasonably possible as social distancing policies end)
  • Work with The Communication and Information Officer to develop networking events between participating SME to encourage a sharing of knowledge, skills and experiences as well as communication resources as part of the project legacy.

Skills and Experience

Essential

  • Degree level or equivalent 
  • A proven track record of working with targets and tight deadlines within a busy and widely dispersed geographical environment
  • Knowledge of and experience in working in the Coast to Capital and/or Greater London Authority region
  • Demonstrable ability to interact with senior levels within a variety of organisations required
  • Excellent IT skills

  • Management qualification

Additional Information

Salary: £27k - £28k per annum (depending on experience)
Location: Greenwich (office based )

Hours:42.5 hrs full time Monday- Friday
