As the Contracts Manager for the Kent & Essex area, you will play a pivotal role in overseeing the delivery of Adult Education programmes, including Adult Education Budget, Multiply, and Skills Bootcamps. In alignment with contract requirements and Twin Group’s strategic objectives, you will collaborate closely with diverse internal and external stakeholders, such as LEPs, LSIPs, local authorities, community organisations, and employers. 

Your responsibilities include ensuring the successful delivery of contracts within agreed budgets and timelines, including line managing a team of Engagement Consultants and Tutors to meet KPIs. You will provide crucial support to tutoring and engagement colleagues, ensuring effective planning, resourcing, and delivery of cohorts and courses. 

Responsibilities
  • Oversee the delivery of Adult Education in the Kent & Essex area, (Adult Education Budget, Multiply & Skills Bootcamps), aligning with contract requirements and Twin Group’s strategic objectives. 
  • Collaborate closely with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, including LEPs, LSIPs, local authorities, community organisations and employers. 
  • Ensure accountability for the successful delivery of the contracts within the agreed budget and timelines. 
  • Line manage a team of Engagement Consultants and Tutors ensuring they receive clear direction and information, enabling them to fulfil their role and meet KPIs. 
  • Provide support to tutoring colleagues to ensure cohorts and courses are effectively planned, resourced, and delivered to agreed timescales.

  • Guarantee adherence to agreed funding and quality frameworks for the provision types and where applicable, subcontractors. 
  • Support the Head of Adult Education to prepare for formal review meetings with funding bodies and Commissioners, taking appropriate actions when necessary. 
  • Generate concise and detailed reports on spend, outputs, outcomes, finances, and risks, often at short notice and for various recipients, including senior managers. 
  • Maintain effective communication channels with relevant parties to address and resolve contract-related issues promptly. 
  • Where applicable, monitor and assess the performance of subcontractors against the provisions’ contract objectives. 
  • Collaborate with internal teams to align contract delivery with organisational goals and strategies. 
  • Stay informed about changes in regulations and funding frameworks, ensuring compliance, and adapting strategies accordingly. 
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of AEB contract delivery. 
  • Any other reasonable/appropriate duties. 
Education /Qualification 
  • GCSE
Skills and Experience
Education Management Expertise:  
  • Proven ability to align program delivery with contract requirements and organisational strategic objectives. (E) 
  • Demonstrated experience overseeing the delivery of Adult Education programmes, including managing Adult Education Budget, Multiply, and Skills Bootcamps (D) 
 Stakeholder Collaboration: 
  • Extensive experience collaborating with a diverse range of internal and external stakeholders, such as LEPs, LSIPs, local authorities, community organisations, and employers. (E) 
  • Strong interpersonal skills to foster effective relationships with various stakeholders. (E)  
 Contract Management and Accountability: 
  • Comprehensive understanding of contract management principles, with a track record of ensuring successful delivery within agreed budgets and timelines. (E) 
  • Proven ability to maintain accountability for contract performance, meeting key performance indicators (KPIs) and strategic objectives. (E) 
 Team Leadership and Management: 
  • Leadership experience in managing teams, particularly Engagement Consultants and Tutors. 
  • Ability to provide clear direction and information to team members, enabling them to fulfil their roles and achieve KPIs. 
 Reporting and Compliance: 
  • Proficient in generating concise and detailed reports on various aspects, including spend, outputs, outcomes, finances, and risks. (E) 
  • Knowledge of regulatory compliance, especially in relation to funding frameworks and educational provisions, with a proactive approach to adapting strategies accordingly. (E) 
Additional Information

Salary: £40,000.00 per annum depending on experience
Flexible 4-day week considered with a pro rota salary.
Location: Remote with travel across the South required.
Contract:  Permanent - Full Time
Hours: Monday to Friday 09:00 – 17:30
